The Hut

Our smaller accommodation unit is The Hut which is styled like a back country shepherds' hut. It sleeps two in comfort, with a maximum of four. The Hut has stunning views of all three volcanoes (Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu) and is set in a peaceful, rural environment. It has one main room with an attached bathroom. A wood-stove warmly heats The Hut and can also be used for cooking. It is just 5 minutes from cafes, bars and ski-hire at National Park Village. When you book The Hut, the whole building is yours- no other guests will be sharing your facilities.

The Hut has a fridge, full-sized oven, microwave oven, and a deck with a barbeque. The beds are made with fresh linen, and towels are also supplied. We have two mountain bikes with helmets you may use at no further cost. The hut is located to make the most of the spectacular views of the surrounding farmland, bush and volcanoes. You can sit for hours on the deck and marvel at the vista.
